ROMAN EMPIRE
KINGDOM OF THE ANTICHRIST
10 Nations (or Regions) Will Initially Join Together …
“Whereas you saw the feet and toes,
partly of clay and partly of iron,
the kingdom (Rome) shall be divided …
And as the toes and feet
were partly of iron and partly of clay,
so the (re-united) kingdom (Roman Empire)
shall be partly strong and partly fragile.”
(Daniel 9:41-43) (It will include both strong and weak nations)
This will be the “kingdom” of the Antichrist (The “Beast”)
“Then I stood on the sand of the sea.
And I saw a Beast (Satan’s Antichrist)
rising up out of the sea,
having seven heads and ten horns,
and on his horns ten crowns,
(other prophecies tell us these represent nations from the ancient Roman Empire)
and on his heads a blasphemous name …
The dragon (Satan) gave him his power,
his throne, and great authority.”
(Revelation 13:1,2)
The coming Antichrist will have a RELIGIOUS partner!
The Bible warns of a “Second Beast”…
“Then I saw another beast
coming up out of the Earth,
and he had two horns like a lamb
and spoke like a dragon.
And he exercises all the authority of the
first beast (the Antichrist) in his presence,
and causes the Earth and those who dwell in it
to worship the first beast (Antichrist),
whose deadly (head) wound was healed.”
(Revelation 13:11-12)
A One-World Religious System Will Soon Rise
The Antichrist will not be alone. Another man, also empowered by Satan, will rule alongside the Antichrist. This powerful and deadly religious leader or “beast” (as God sees him) will rise to world power with the Antichrist (a coming World Leader).
In this prophecy God reveals some important information and details concerning this religious man of power …
“Two horns like a lamb,” tells us he will emerge in great power with Christian credentials or doctrine, but “spoke like a dragon” tells us he will be controlled and directed by Satan.
This person, along with the religious system he will lead, is also referred to in the book of Revelation as “The Woman Who Rides the Beast.”
An interesting Note:
If you translate the Greek word “Anti-Christ” directly into Latin it would be “Vicar of Christ.” (Vicaris)
Hmmmm … Who on Earth is now called by that Title?
We are warned this coming “One-World” Religious System will rise out of Rome (City of seven hills) …
“This calls for a mind with wisdom.
The seven heads are seven hills
on which the woman (who rides the Beast) sits.”
(Revelation 17:9)

“The title City of Seven Hills usually refers to Rome, which was literally founded on seven hills.”
This coming ecumenical ‘One-World’ Religious System will one day imprison, torture, and execute millions of Bible-believing Christians …
These “seven heads” also represent 7 great empires which have ruled over Israel:
Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece,
Rome, and finally a revised Roman Empire
The Bible clearly says “in the last days” 10 Nations will rise out of the ancient Roman Empire. They could all rise out of the Western (European) half of the Roman Empire, as we now see “strong mixed with weak” nations of Europe re-uniting into a powerful European Union federation. Or, since the Antichrist is also called the “Assyrian,” these 10 Nations may rise out of the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire which was based out of Constantinople (Turkey). It is also possible these 10 Nations will be split between the Western and Eastern legs of the ancient Roman Empire. Others have suggested the 10 nations may rise out of trading blocs of nations, or the United Nations, or even NATO.
The ten horns represent leaders of these 10 nations,
and we are told the “11th” horn will be the coming Antichrist
“The ten horns are ten kings
who shall arise from (out of)
this kingdom (the Roman Empire).
And another shall rise after them; (the 11th and “little” horn)
He (the Antichrist)
shall be different from the first ones,
and shall subdue three kings …” (The end begins)
(Daniel 7:24)
A Final Thought …
It is also interesting to note that the “11th horn” is sometimes called the “little horn” (nation).
Vatican City is the smallest nation on Earth (only 109 acres in total size) with a population of only around 800 people, and it sits in Rome.
Yet, it rules over almost a Billion people and receives Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings, and Ambassadors from every nation (many of whom bow or kiss the hand of the Roman Pope).
Also, the prophecy warns, “And another (the 11th horn) shall rise AFTER them.“
Even though most of the nations from the ancient Roman Empire have been around for many, many, many years … Vatican City did not become a nation until 1929 when the Roman Pope and the fascist Dictator of Italy (Mussolini) struck a deal.
The time draws near ….
